Business Sector

Suksapatana Foundation, by Mr. Paron Israsena , has created cooperation with many private sectors with the aim of changing the method of personnel development to focus on learning through real experiences, and the project according to the learning guidelines to create with intelligence, Constructionism, instead of sending personnel to train in a square classroom. Giving people the opportunity at the operational level to work on their interest projects allows them to show their potential through projects presented which helps increase the organization’s productivity. The goal of learning through practical experiments is to promote personnel knowledge in both academic and practical. It also promotes the confidence in learning new things by oneself, creates loyalty and organizational awareness leading to responsibility towards communities and the nation.

Paron stated his vision on the retiring from the position of President, The Siam Cement Public Company Limited that “I wholeheartedly believe that the most important resource of the organization is people in the organization because they are people who will lead the business to grow, not machinery nor buildings.” Paron also emphasized the importance of human resource development continuously that, “When I am retired, I want to use the time I have to develop Thai people to continue fighting in the world because the most important resource in Thailand is Thai people, Thai children. I have the intention to develop Thai people to be able to compete in the world. So that Thai people are able to learn by themselves and learn as a group or a team until it becomes a habit of pursuing life-long learning.”

“Constructionism Learning is not something that can be easily accomplished overnight. From the past working experience, I’ve learned that bringing an appropriate change must rely on the private sector as a leader. And when it comes to action, geosocial of each area needs to be considered. Making a small pilot project in an area that is ready successful will build faith in people meaning that it will be a better result than it used to be. Make it as an example for people to study, and when they like what they see, they will magnify the outcome.”
